The LS-17 (1.70mm focal length) can be used to provide an extremely wide field of view. However, the picture will have an "artifically" wide field of view with fairly severe curvarture of the video image. Unfortunately, there is NO way to provide such a wide viewing angle without this type of distortion.

This is a fixed lens with one specific field of view. There is no way to adjust the lens focal length for a dynamic viewing angle. For applications where multiple viewing angles may be required, please consider using a varifocal / zoom lens camera.

This micro board lens has a 12mm diameter thread mount, making it compatible with the following EYESPYVIDEO.com models: BW-4EX, BW-4LL, BW-4HAD, BW-4HR, BW-8HAD, CC-5EX, CC-5HR, CC-7HRM, CC-1SBHR, CC-8HAD, CC-8HR, TVD-CBHR,and TV-BCSHR. Because of its physical size, this lens cannot maintain the weatherproof seal on Eyespyvideo outdoor cameras and simply will not fit our camera models with built-in Infrared illumination.

The LS-17 has the absolute widest viewing angle of any lens available for our CCTV video cameras.

  • The new CC-5XDWDR Color Weatherproof Bullet Camera has incredibly clear 700 TV lines of resolution, Digital Wide Dynamic Range and 2D Digital Noise Reduction.
  • The wide dynamic range (WDR) function of a camera is intended to provide clear images even under extreme light circumstances where intensity of illumination can vary excessively, namely when there are both very bright and very dark areas simultaneously in the field of view of the camera. WDR enables the capture and display of both bright and dark areas in the same frame, in a way that there are details in both areas, i.e. bright areas are not saturated, and dark areas are not too dark. It also offers amazing low light capability.
  • Digital Noise refers to the random dot pattern that is superimposed on the picture as a result of electronic noise; the 'snow' that is similar to what can be seen with poor (analog) television reception or on VHS tapes. The Digital Noise Reduction feature reduces that "noise" from the cctv camera image.
