Off the chart performance for such a tiny camera. BEWARE: We've had many customer reports of cameras out there which look and spec IDENTICALLY to this unit, but which are much inferior in comparison. The "600+ horizontal TV lines / 0.0003 lux" cam is one of the smallest 1/3" CCD enclosed case camera and is capable of performing in lower light situations and creating higher resolution than any other miniature camera. Newly revised 1/3" Sony® Ex-View® high resolution DSP (digital signal processing) CCD imager chipset.

It should be noted that we have six other black and white (monochrome) cameras with the same ultra low-light capable chipset: #BW-5LL/ HR (low lux pinhole), #BW-5LLM (interchangeable mini board lens), #TV-BCSHR (high resolution CS mount) and weatherproof bullets #BW-4LL and #BW-4EX. The #BW-5HRM is unmatched in low-light performance.

We carry ONLY the LATEST and BEST in CCTV chipset technology and circuit board engineering (both aspects are critical to produce a high quality CCD camera)!

Variations / Alternate Equipment to Consider:

It should be mentioned that very few people will notice a 'naked eye' difference between the picture from #BW-5LLM and #BW-5HRM. So, for general or security CCTV use, the high resolution factor could almost be considered a waste of money. The high resolution aspect is reserved primarily for those with advanced or specialized recording and/ or monitoring applications and equipment.

Cautions:

This is a non-weatherproof camera, and as such- must be treated with extra care and NEVER left outdoors without the proper protective housings.
