DSP (digital signal processing) CCD weatherproof bullet camera with
high resolution Sony SuperHAD 1/3" imager. Adjustable focus 4-8mm
zoom lens included installed. This unit is compatible with ALL of
our recorders (DVR and VCR) and wireless equipment. It's also compatible
with all consumer VCRs as well as most television sets (those with
standard composite RCA or BNC inputs).
Profile:
This is a 'beefy' camera
designed to meet the changing elements. While it could be used for
indoor mounting purposes as well- we have tons of other varifocal
choices available. This camera is perfect for situations in which
installer/ user knows that a medium to wide angle view will work
best- but isn't quite sure which will be the ideal view until it
is actually mounted and aimed at a given object or area. The same
"530+ horizontal TV lines / 1.0 lux" cam now has an overall
sharper picture capable of performing in lower light situations
than even the last revision version. Newly revised 1/3" high
resolution Sony SuperHAD DSP (digital signal processing) CCD imager
chipset.

(PTZ) ability.
Cautions:
User must access lens for zoom adjustment, which
requires removal of lens cap. This camera is made weatherproof by
a rubber "o-ring" seal inside that cap. After lens adjustment,
proper re-installation of the lens cap dictates that the lens cap
be threaded tight, but not so tight as to pinch the seal. A pinched
or damaged o-ring seal will breach the weatherproof ability and
likely lead to camera damage or failure. We further recommend that
the inside threads of this or any weatherproof bullet be coated
with a small amount of Vaseline / petroleum jelly on a Q-tip.
Infrared cameras cannot be placed behind glass,
etc. (i.e. inside a window). The camera "sees" the infrared
light as if it were bright white light. When you place an infrared
camera behind glass, the activated illuminators will create a visual
halo around the picture as the illuminators are reflected back at
the camera. Only certain types of filters will prevent this- such
as the material built into the front face of the IR-5EX, IR-2H and
IR-5H.
This camera
is not submersible underwater.
These bullet
cameras are great and are considered rugged, but care must be used
when handling the attached video /power cable. Most any problems
ever seen with our bullet cameras are caused by too much pulling
stress being applied, resulting in connection damage inside the
camera.
