What a great video recorder. This is a TOP choice
for mobile video applications which call for a user-friendly analog
VCR tape recording system. More reliable and packed with more features
in comparison to similar looking VCRs, many of which are VERY poorly
engineered. Too many in our industry are advertising their VCR units
with misleading buzzwords, often with no regard for the quality,
long-term reliability or practical features of the unit itself.
Features ALARM input port (like a simple speaker
input) to interface with physical switches such as door contact
switches and- more often- passive infrared PIR motion sensors which
have "N.O." (normally open) circuit and a nominal voltage.
Recording can be set ONLY when activated by NO switch- and then
for your preset amount of time before it stops. This allows user
to record only when activity is present. Or you can also record
continuously with its 'endless loop' record feature, though you
will lose previous video when recorded over (can also be set to
STOP when tape is full).
Features EVENT titling which allows user to overlay
information onto videotape including actual time + date and even
to 'name' the camera or activity. Perfect for those who want to
maximize their evidence ability- or those who need accurate archiving
of video.
One of the greatest things about this VCR is the
'remote IR bug' which plugs into the back of the unit and allows
you to stretch the ability of the handheld remote so VCR can be
'stashed' out of sight under seat or dash. This works perfectly
when used with one of our mini monitors and any of our cameras.
VCR-2 also has both MIC (microphone or mic level') and LINE-LEVEL
(standard RCA) AUDIO INPUT PORTS and works great with our AM-1 microphone.

This VCR has a (now included free) wireless IR remote
control, but also great faceplate controls, including DIGITAL SHUTTLE
feature which allows go to preset points of video with the touch
of a button. RS-232 cable and remote control computer software now
also bundled in with every VCR-2 ordered. These units are hard to
