The
CS-DN550 can be used to provide a dynamic field of view control
between 5.0mm and 50.0mm focal lengths. And because its focal length
is always higher than 5.0mm, there is no curvature distortion in
the video image as seen with very wide angle lenses.
This lens has
special IR-corrected optics built into the design. This makes the
lens compatible with both visible AND infrared lighting without
a shift in focus between lighting types. Use the CS-DN550 lens with
black & white cameras or Day / Night color cameras (mechanical
IR filter removal required) to get crisp, vivid detail under visible
or IR lighting.
This is a varifocal
zoom lens, and all lens adjustments must be made manually by hand.
Once the desired focal length is acheived, the lens has thumb screws
which tighten to maintain that specific focal length. We also carry
fixed focus C-mount lenses for those applications where desired.
The CS-DN550
employs voltage from the camera's auto-iris port to automatically
adjust the amount of light which passes through the lens optical
glass and reaches the imager. This feature allows for brilliant
lighting in many diverse and changing lighting conditions.
This lens has
a security-industry standard CS-mount lens thread, making it compatible
with the following Eyespyvideo.com models: TV-CSHRL,
TV-CSHR,
TV-CSHDN,
and TV-BCSHR.
The auto-iris port on these cameras provides seamlessly compatibilty
with the CS-DN550. However, this lens is only intended for use with
BOTH visible and infrared (IR) lighting. For proper compatibility,
the camera CANNOT have an IR filter -- or must have a method for
removing the IR filter for use with infrared lighting. Our TV-BCSHR
is the best camera choice for this particular lens.
