WDC-26
DSP (digital signal processing) CCD covert color wall clock camera
with integrated 2.4 GHz wireless transmitter and wireless receiver
included. Sony SuperHAD 1/3" imager. 3.7mm wide angle pinhole
lens included installed. This unit is 'plug and play' compatible
with ALL of our recorders (DVR and VCR). It's also compatible with
all consumer VCRs as well as most television sets (those with standard
composite RCA or BNC inputs).
Profile:
What a super
placement - nobody EVER spots this lens! Don't confuse this with
most similar-looking 'factory-made' covert cameras you'll find out
there- many of which are complete junk. These are handcrafted in
the USA by our specialty technicians. The technical specifications
(specs) haven't changed in over 3 years - but the performance sure
has! The same "380+ horizontal TV lines / 0.5 lux" cam
now has an overall sharper picture capable of performing in lower
light situations than even the last revision version. The WDC-26
has even blown some "high resolution" 480 line cameras
away in side-by-side comparisons for true visual clarity and color.
The best mount
requires a small hole be made in the wall behind above unit for
the video/ power cables to run completely out of sight. Then, wiring
itself can be run through wall or ceiling into another room to plug
into the monitor and/ or recorder. Some users choose to run the
cable out of the side of the camera and use wiring cover or conduit
along the wall (obtained at hardware stores, etc.).
View of camera
is a wide angle, and the camera itself is mounted at a straight
horizontal angle. Mounted at about 6-8' is considered ideal for
many 'total room coverage' applications. Higher mounts are more
likely to capture usable video only in the lower portion of the
frame.

CCD camera)! Too many in our industry are still liquidating 'antiques'
on an unsuspecting public, often even unaware themselves that better
technology exists.

of this camera, the color #DC-26 and the black & white #DB-26.
Cautions:
You should always
give careful consideration when choosing covert products. Oftentimes,
customers don't fully consider some of the practical logistics before
making a purchase, only to later realize that a particular placement
really isn't feasible. Smoke detector cameras are great for a variety
of placements, but have some limitations (read more above).
This is a NON-weatherproof
camera, and as such- must be treated with extra care and NEVER left
outdoors.
