Profile:
This is a NEAT little unit and absolutely amazing
for what it CAN do for its size. However, it MUST be cautioned that
this is not a "high resolution" recorder as many might
think or as you may have seen it advertised elsewhere. This features
REALTIME video and audio ability in its highest resolution setting
(not all of these new mini-decks can but both of ours do). It can
record up to 2 hours of video and audio on a removable 2GB SD card.
Video + audio media is easily uploaded to PC through included cradle.
But, in this day and age- many of our professional customers tend
to be looking for a higher level of recording our awesome cameras,
such as can be found with the newer digital 8 and mini-DV camcorders
(most of which DO feature input ability to record video onto its
own deck from any external eyespyvideo.com camera).
When video is played back on the built-in mini monitor,
picture looks VERY sharp and vivid. Everyone we've showed them to
in St. Louis has just been shocked when video is played back on
its own screen. It only disappoints after exported or connected
to a larger tv or computer screen. Here is where user will notice
a definite 'tiling' effect on the video which wouldn't. These obviously
have a whole set of unique purposes.
*If you are searching for HIGH QUALITY VIDEO from
a similar sized unit, please keep an eye out for a soon-to-be released
miniature DVR with over 500 TV lines recording and 30GB solid-state
FLASH memory. It will be considerably more expensive, but there's
nothing else out there that's even CLOSE! Analog + digital inputs
and outputs with serious possibilities in a wide range of industries
including broadcast and law enforcement. Or let us know to put you

We also carry the newer #MDVR-2, an AMAZING and
EVEN SMALLER unit with exportable SD card media storage. Currently
includes 128MB card which is easily replaced by up to 2GB cards
which are slightly larger than a postage stamp. MDVR2 with built-in
screen AND lithium battery is only slightly larger than a deck of
playing cards. And, even though it specs identically, most feel
that it's a little better video on playback to larger screen.
Cautions:
AGAIN, this unit will NEVER be advertised or described
as a 'high resolution' recorder as you MAY have seen elsewhere.
To some, it will be considered excellent and to those who are familiar
with and require high resolution video for mystery shopping and
television-type uses, the video would likely be considered unacceptable.
