PTV-DN270
DSP (digital signal processing) CCD "Day/
Night" POWER ZOOM camera with new Sony® high resolution
imager. Built-in power zoom 27x optical lens (+ 10X digital zoom
magnification included). This unit is 'plug & play' compatible
with ALL of our recorders (DVR and VCR) and wireless equipment.
It's also compatible with all consumer VCRs as well as most television
sets (those with standard composite RCA / BNC or even S-video inputs).
Profile:
What
an amazingly crisp high resolution camera! This is the installer's
choice for all kinds of stationary video applications. With the
newly revised high resolution Sony SuperHAD DSP (digital signal
processing) CCD imager chipset- this features unbeaten picture quality
and features to similar size / type cameras.
This
camera now features the latest brand new Sony CCD technology known
as Wide Dynamic Range. The Wide Dynamic technology is built on the
latest high resolution Sony Vertical Double-Density interline CCD
platform.
One of the most fundamental "laws" of photography is that
you never take a picture into a bright light source, like having
the sun in the background. Shooting into the sun will yield a black
shadowy silhouette and many features are left indistinguishable.
The same fundamental "law" also holds true for video surveillance
photography, but Sony has a great solution. The new WDR technology
allows a CCTV camera to deliver crisp, high resolution images in
real-world environments with diverse and multidimensional lighting.
How does it work? A Wide Dynamic camera simultaneously takes pictures
of two polar opposite fields and uses a specialized chipset to combine
the images (almost like using two separate cameras to capture the
same picture and then combine them using a computer). But with WDR
there is no human intervention required -- just pure advanced technology.
The image below is a brilliant example of the difference this new
technology
can make based on diverse lighting conditions within a single indoor
environment.
The PTV-DN270 Wide Dynamic Range is fully adjustable to suit your
needs. Like brightness and contrast control, this is an image quality
feature you can change in the camera's on-screen programming guide.

Because you want to go super high quality picture and have zoom
and ability to control exposure, etc, our (newer) PTV-DN270 may be
the ultimate replacement. Rather than a manually-adjustable optical
lens, DN270 features an integrated/ internal motorized optical lens
with auto-focus + minor near/ far manual electronic control.
You control the exposure, white balance, etc. etc. with a TON of
menu selections available. * These are selected by use of wired
remote control while viewing OSD (on screen display) output. Wired
remote is available in 115' or 4' cable lengths.
* And with the mechanically removed IR filter- which is automatic
and doesn't kick in until extreme low lux situations, ultra-low
light shots will also be possible in the monochrome/ starlight mode.....
without any shift in the focus.
** Tripod mount plate can be fixed to top or bottom of camera for
mounting inside a weatherproof camera housing.
Unlike
many of our auto-sensing "day-night" cameras which can
change image between color and black & white seamlessly and
instantly- this particular camera has a mechanical iris function
which, when activated- results in a brief pause where screen goes
blank before reverting to its "digital slow shutter mode".
In this super low-lux mode (which also works great with infrared
IR lighting).
This
camera is technically a 1/4" image sensor , which usually is
a caution for an inferior image sensor to 1/3". However, forget
about that aspect with this one. Our PTV-DN270 delivers images at
what many visually consider 'broadcast quality' video.
We
carry ONLY the LATEST and BEST in CCTV chipset technology and circuit
board engineering (both aspects are critical to produce a high quality
CCD camera)! Too many in our industry are still liquidating 'antiques'
on an unsuspecting public, often even unaware themselves that better
technology exists.
Common
Applications:
•Residential
and commercial high resolution indoor & outdoor* (*w/ weatherproof
housing) security
•General video applications where a high quality camera is
needed for a variety of focal views
•Commercial security where an operator can have dynamic control
of camera
•Remote video applications for external camera controls through
networked or wireless data transfer
•Solutions to applications in which bright light is available
in daytime but conditions are much more dimly lit
•Used in conjunction with common IR infrared lighting solutions
•OEM & scientific / machine industrial purposes
