What a super placement - nobody EVER spots this
lens! Don't confuse this with most similar-looking 'factory-made'
covert cameras you'll find out there- many of which are complete
junk. These are handcrafted in the USA by our specialty technicians.
The same "430+ horizontal TV lines / 0.03 lux" cam now
has an overall sharper picture capable of performing in lower light
situations than even the last revision version.
A great choice for many stationary ceiling mount
applications- whether for covert / hidden / disguised purposes.....
or just general video surveillance (hallways, etc.). With the newly
revised 1/3" Sony SuperHAD DSP (digital signal processing)
CCD imager chipset- this features identical picture quality to our
enclosed case #BW-2/5HAD cameras.
Acoustical tile 'drop' ceilings tend to be ideal
for this unit. Since the single video power cable (25 ft.) extends
from the very top of the camera, a 'good' mount requires a small
hole be made in the ceiling above unit for the video/ power cables
extending from top of camera. Then, wiring itself is out of sight
and can often be run several rooms away (or across a building with
the proper extensions) to the monitor and/ or recorder.
View of camera is a wide angle, and the camera itself
is mounted at a diagonal downward tilt from side of camera (mounted
straight from the side or bottom would result in viewing ceiling
or the tops of subjects heads only!). When used with low ceilings,
user tends to get great close-ups of passers by, but not much else.
A 10-15' ceiling is considered ideal for many 'total room coverage'
applications. Even higher ceilings allow more square footage of
activity to be captured, but view may sacrifice some detail since
subjects will be further away and therefore smaller in picture.

technology and circuit board engineering (both aspects are critical
to produce a high quality CCD camera)! Too many in our industry
are still liquidating 'antiques' on an unsuspecting public, often
even unaware themselves that better technology exists.

image sensor.
We also carry 2 WIRELESS versions of this camera,
the color #WDC-22 and the black & white #WDB-22. Nice range
and reception from a hidden 2.4GHz transmitter (900 MHz versions
available by special request only).
Cautions:
You should always give careful consideration when
choosing covert products. Oftentimes, customers don't fully consider
some of the practical logistics before making a purchase, only to
later realize that a particular placement really isn't feasible.
Smoke detector cameras are great for a variety of placements, but
have some limitations (read more above).
