The "Grand Daddy"
of disguised cameras is back and better than EVER. Now an even sharper
and lower-light chipset, this is FINALLY available in black pen
color. Since this is physically a little larger than most average
size pens, the old bright gold color became a 'dead-ringer' to spot
for anyone with any knowledge of covert video.
Don't confuse this with
most similar-looking 'factory-made' covert cameras you'll find out
there- many of which feature shoddy placements of junk components
and easy-to-spot giant lens holes. This is a patented design with
a good reason. With the newly revised 1/3" Hyundai® DSP
(digital signal processing) CCD imager chipset, the picture quality
is very close to our enclosed case #BW-2/5HAD cameras, as well as
the exposed board #BW-1HAD. Not quite as much super low lux ability
as the new Sony® stuff, but this camera will image very well
in dimly-lit situations
With its standard composite
video output, this unit can be interfaced with ANY of our wireless
transmitters or recorders (including micro mobile DVRs).
2 things that
are great about a chest-area mounted camera:
1. A chest-height mount
tends to create the 'best' universal place to put a camera to attain
video that most resembles the wearer's perspective. This may come
as a surprise to many shoppers who wrongly assume wrongly assume
that a hat or eyeglass camera would provide the best viewpoint since
the camera is mounted near the user's eyes. While a head mount does
provide the user a more dynamic ability to manipulate the direction
of the camera, the viewpoint of a flat mounted camera will feature
a lot of sky and ceilings in the top half of the frame.
2. Also, hat and eyeglass
cameras also typically require that at least some part of the wire(s)
providing power to camera and video from camera to recorder or transmitter.
Most of our professional users realize that those type of cameras
(even if specially designed for the individual user's height and
desired view, are generally unfeasible for covert applications.
Because of the way cameras create a horizontal by vertical 'aspect
ratio'.
We carry ONLY the LATEST
and BEST in CCD chipset technology and circuit board engineering
(both aspects are critical to produce a high quality camera)! Too
many in our industry are still liquidating 'antiques' on an unsuspecting
public, often even unaware themselves that better technology exists.

transmitter and power source all crammed into a standard size pen
which actually writes.
Cautions:
This is a non-weatherproof
camera, and as such- must be treated with extra care and NEVER left
outdoors or exposed to the elements without the proper protective
housings.
