Before you say "I've already seen this camera elsewhere but for less money".... THINK AGAIN! First, these are made in Japan- not China or Taiwan. In our very experienced opinion, this deserves to be called the new "world's best" covert camera design! It is suitable for a wide spectrum of placements both bodyworn and stationary. We formerly carried our similar looking PMPC-BTN which wasn't bad but doesn't even compare to this. We have evaluated many such cameras from around the world in the last couple of years and this is simply unlike any other.

FROM A DESIGN STANDPOINT ALONE- this is truly unique. After over 10 years of innovating and manufacturing new covert designs- we are so pleased to see something better than we could do by hand! This is a TRULY innovative and even revolutionary design.

Our first shipments of these have already been out in the field with NO problems yet reported for at least 2 months (as of 12/05). These are actually being used in under cover drug stings (in conjunction with our MDVR-3 recorder)

For most applications, the 450 TV lines/ 0.2 lux this incredible color unit is more than enough camera. We realize that all sellers purport their wares to be great but strongly encourage skeptics to read some of our many professional testimonials on file (link on every page). We highly recommend PMPC-KIT to mystery shoppers and others looking for a fast method of deployment in a camera that's virtually impossible to detect, even from only a few inches away. * The real question then becomes what type of recorder to use (we recommend our MDVR-3) since most don't support a very good playback resolution. The overall quality of this camera is not QUITE as good as our latest revision / highest resolution pinhole cameras with 1/3" CCD sensors in terms of color sharpness/ saturation, low light ability or wide field of view. But it is an excellent picture with great color saturation and low-light ability.

The PMPC-KIT is very lightweight and very low in profile- it's TINY, which makes it a very modular camera that can be used beyond shirt placements, such as in purses, backpacks, etc. Unlike so many other designs where the facade piece is integral to the lens- this unit can be pushed through any XX" (XXmm) hole and THEN your choice of disguise 'mask' placed over that. This alone will result in much less damage created by users trying to force the whole facade through a hole too small or material too thick.

This can truly be called a professional user's (undercover police & journalists, investigators and "mystery shoppers") TOP choice for covert bodyworn applications. We stake our reputation on that assertion. Of course, that being said- no device we've ever seen has been 'perfect'. Our initial (and still only) wish for these is to feature slightly thicker wires.

** 3 things that are great about a sternum-area mounted body worn camera:

1. A sternum mount tends to create the 'best' universal place to put a camera to attain video that most resembles the wearer's perspective. This may come as a surprise to many shoppers who wrongly assume wrongly assume that a hat or eyeglass camera would provide the best viewpoint since the camera is mounted near the user's eyes. While a head mount does provide the user a more dynamic ability to manipulate the direction of the camera, the viewpoint of a flat mounted camera will feature a lot of sky and ceilings in the top half of the frame, as well as

2. Also, hat and eyeglass cameras also typically require that at least some part of the wire(s) providing power to camera and video from camera to recorder or transmitter. Most of our professional users realize that those type of cameras (even if specially designed for the individual user's height and desired view, are generally unfeasible for covert applications. Because of the way cameras create a horizontal by vertical 'aspect ratio'.

3. Finally, most men and women have a natural concave-shape there which gives the camera a place to rest without creating a visible 'lump' which makes the camera very easy to hide.

This unit comes with 4 FULL SETS of matching facade items: 2 different sized buttons and 2 different types of screw heads (Phillips and Hex). It also includes a 9v battery connector case as well as our 8xAA battery pack

We carry ONLY the LATEST and BEST in CCTV chipset technology and circuit board engineering (both aspects are critical to produce a high quality CCD camera)! Too many in our industry are still liquidating 'antiques' on an unsuspecting public, often even unaware themselves that better technology exists.
